LONDON to BRIGHTON a long distance walk. Here we leave the Thames Path and follow the River Wandle path to head for the shopping centre and mall, Southside. Coming out of the mall, we enter King George's Park, with gardens pond and fountain and tennis courts.

The picture shows King Georges Park. From here the footpath and cycle lane heads for about 1/4 mile to Merton Road, Revelstoke Road and Wimbledon Park.

Welcome to my posts about LONDON long distance walks. Beginning at Piccadilly Circus, these walks go to BRIGHTON, OXFORD, CAMBRIDGE, SOUTHEND-on-SEA and WINCHESTER, with others in preparation.
The Amazing thing about these walks is that you leave the famous sights of London and gradually pass through the suburbs and then pass through beautiful countryside, with great views and history. These are available in books as well.
It is a strange feeling of De-ja-vu to return to Piccadilly Circus to commence on the next walk! It is possible to do these walks in parts, perhaps returning by train, - or you can just pick your favourite part.
The pictures show Piccadilly Circus, walking along to the clock tower of Big Ben -to cross Westminster Bridge and the Peace Pagoda, Battersea Park.
